So I’m thinking about doing this. After being on my feet for five hours at the dining hall, my legs are exhausted, but I don’t want them to be! Alas, a standing desk could be the solution!
An update on my work environment:
Since I bought my “standing desk” about one month ago, I now don’t even realize I’m standing all day while I work. I designed my environment around me to encourage a certain kind of behavior I’ve deemed healthy.
And now I don’t even know I’m being healthy. I’m just working.
That’s how behavior change happens. Design your life to fit the behavior you want to encourage.

Check out this article by one of my favorite New York Times writers, Jenna Wortham. She writes on the NYTimes Bits Blog, which covers technology and new media and the whole web 2.0 shabang. I love this stuff. I am an all-out supporter of new media, all forms social networking, and web 2.0 startups! Technology+society rocks in my eyes.
Anyways, check out the article above. A pretty interesting app! Definitely will look into this. Isn’t technology amazing? Speaking of all this tech and media talk.. as you may notice, a new Stellar&Stoked is in the works (most of it in my head, as I’m in the middle of studying for my organic chemistry final on Friday). I’m having visions of a Stellar and Stoked with more of an advocacy for new media and an integration of more types of media. Our world is in a constant state of evolution you know, rethinking and redesigning is a good thing! Most of the time. Anywho, just a heads up. I will keep ya’ll (I rarely, if ever, use this Georgia slang) updated.
