My Winthrop roommate and BFF Matt came up on Wednesday night and stayed Thursday, on his way to the Atlanta airport for a mission trip to Peru on Friday. Shade, him and I went to the Braves game on Wednesday night where they avoided the sweep and played a solid game against the Padres. Craig Kimbrel, age 23, earned his 16th save of the season and is 1 save shy of tying a major league record for number the of saves before the all-star break for a rookie.
I saw The Hangover Part II today and it was a pretty entertaining sequel. I think definitely enjoyed the, although sometimes raw, good humor of all The Hangover characters.
In the academic world, my DAT study books came in the mail today. From text, I will be covering all of the Kaplan DAT Blue Book and the Schaum’s Biology Outline. For many, many electronic sample tests, I will be completing Crack DAT Math and Crack DAT Perceptual Ability, as well as three Achiever exams. The next two months I will be following a study schedule containing 5 full length exams, 10 individual math section exams, 10 individual perceptual ability exams, along with hundreds of book problems from Kaplan and Schaum’s. I’m looking at a July 30th Dental Admissions Test date.
I will also be starting my work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in an evolutionary genetics lab at UGA this coming Monday. I want to keep a great record of all the things and techniques I learn over the summer so I plan on keeping the blog updated on my laboratory progress.
