The Road to Wake Forest

Just some articles from different sources covering the NCAA Tournament… lately I’ve been researching everything there is to know about the tournament and all the teams in it. I’m pumped.

The itinerary for our trip to Williamsburg was posted in the locker room yesterday before practice.. unfortunately I don’t get to travel with the team. This is understandable since I AM an injured red shirt, after all, but I still can’t help feeling really upset. There is no question though that I will be road tripping it up to Williamsburg on Friday with the other injured/red shirt guys on the team, and probably spending the night there since the game won’t be over until nine o’clock, and it’s a six hour drive. It’s going to be one cold night though, the windchill will most likely be in the thirties. Gotta love the post season!

I’m feeling it, yesterday in practice, I felt that we looked really sharp. Playing with the team (finally) is so awesome. I feel that I really fit in with the style of play that everyone seems to have in mind. I just want to keep working hard (the fact that I’m practicing with a NCAA tournament team really motivates me now) and prove myself for the upcoming spring season.

After this week, we’ll (hopefully) be heading to Wake Forest next Tuesday night, then Thanksgiving break is here. After the break, I only have one more week of classes, then the following week is finals week! The semester is just lingering out there, it’s almost over! Crazy to think that my first semester of college is coming to an end.. but I have to say, it’s all that I imagined it would be. Except for the fact that I didn’t get to contribute on the game field because of my broken foot.. but it’s still been awesome. I feel pretty good now, because I get to help the guys prepare for the NCAA’s on the practice field. The team leaves Thursday morning, while the guys and I will be leaving Friday sometime around noon.
