I just finished my second attempt at my graphic design project. The projects were due last Thursday.. at least everyone thought they were. We walked into class and put them up on the wall for critiquing, after about five minutes of some harsh criticism, my professor asked, “who thinks they could do a better job?” Of course everyone raised their hands, and he decided to push the due date to Tuesday. I redid my project tonight. Overall, I did a better job than the first attempt, but I’m just not sure how much better.
I also have my first writing essay due tomorrow. A one thousand page essay on American Architecture, I’ve been working on it since the beginning of September, so I think I’ll be fine there. I just have to finalize the works cited and make sure all my formatting is correct, etc.
College work seems to come in waves.. one week I’ll have nothing to do except read for my classes, but then over the course of three or four days, I’ll get slammed with projects, assignments, tests… the works. But after the three or four days, it calms down again and I’m allowed to relax a little. I would say right now, I’m definitely in a wave, but I’m getting near the end of it. Hopefully after tomorrow night, I can say that I’m in the clear of chaos until sometime next week.
We have our third conference game on Wednesday night at home, against High Point. We’re 2-0 in the conference now, another consecutive win would put us at the top of the table and at a very good position while heading towards the halfway point of our conference schedule. The ultimate goal is to get the #1 seed in the conference tournament. High Point is coming off an upset win against North Carolina State a few games ago, proving that they won’t be an easy opponent.
