Nationally Ranked
The topdrawersoccer.com weekly national poll came out today, and we’re on it. Finally some national attention. We’re number 48. Topdrawersoccer’s poll is a little different than the official NSCAA’s top 25 poll.. Each week topdrawersoccer picks the top 48 teams nationally to make the NCAA tournament. Technically, if this poll meant something, and was at the end of the year.. we’d get a bid to the tournament.
I’m a recent email subscriber of georgiadawgs.com and recieved an email today saying that ESPN’s College Gameday is headed to Athens for the first time since ‘98 when they played Tennessee. The email also said that the game was going to be a blackout, just like last year against Auburn. Richt is telling everyone to buy and wear black UGA gear on Saturday. The Dawgs’ online store is advertising a deal for $4.99 3-day shipping in hopes that everyone will buy some blackout apparel. It’s guaranteed that your products will be delivered by Friday. Of course I had to jump on this. I bought a sweet black Nike Georgia t-shirt tonight. I’m going to wear it all day long on Saturday. Here’s my creation for Saturday’s game.. man I should work for ESPN.

It’s Monday and I already have 5 hours and 20 minutes of study hall hours. That’s a little absurd compared to my usual routine. And the thing is.. I’m not even required to get my full 6 hours this week. Winthrop is having this alcohol awareness event on Wednesday night. The soccer team is required to go. Because of this requirement, coach dropped our hours this week to 4 and a half. Sweet. Anyways, the reason for all my studying yesterday and today is because of my first college exam tomorrow. I have an Honors Biology test over six chapters of material. I’m freaking out. I’m not really sure what to expect. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow morning at 9:30.
Well it’s the start of another week. My highlight though is on Wednesday afternoon sometime around 3:30. I’ll be at the Presbyterian-Matthews hospital in Charlotte in the Winthrop orthopedic surgeon’s office awaiting the results of my second post-op x-ray. I’m crossing my fingers for this one.
