A Good Day to be a Dawg
Another Saturday in Rock Hill watching the Dawgs and another W. What a game ,what a game. I wore my red UGA football t-shirt again today, like every other Saturday.. hopefully I got some more nasty looks from Gamecock fans. Sometimes I really do wish I was a “dawg” myself.. but I was thinking.. being here at Winthrop makes my love for UGA that much more unique. No one else here likes them, or at least I haven’t seen anyone that does. If I went to Georgia, I would be around thousands of other Georgia fans, I think its a lot cooler when you’re the minority. Plus, Winthrop doesn’t have a football team, making soccer the premium fall sport here.
It’s been a few days since I’ve posted anything. I’ve been very, very busy. Classes are really starting to hit hard. I have my first exams next week. Starting with an Honors Biology test on Tuesday. That should be fun.
On the soccer side of things, we lost against UNC Charlotte on friday night 2-0 in front of a crowd of 1,166. It was pretty packed. I’ve been delegated as the team camera man for this weekend’s tournament and will be traveling with them again to Charlotte tomorrow for our game against Davidson. I don’t mind filming the games at all, I actually think it’s pretty fun.
Four days and counting until my x-ray on Wednesday. I’m getting pretty excited but at the same time I don’t want to jinx it.. the doctor might tell me that I have to stay in the boot longer.. I really hope this isn’t the case.
Overall a pretty good week and half of the weekend. Beating Davidson tomorrow would make it that much sweeter. I’ll keep you posted, of course.
