Surgery Number 2

I finally had my second surgery of the semester. Other than the intense soreness that I’ve been experiencing for the past two days, the surgery went really well. The surgeon actually found two other hernias when he was repairing my original one, so I got a “three-for-one” deal, as he repaired all three for me. 

I’ve just been sitting here in my living room, watching endless episodes of How I Met Your Mother on dvd, and random soccer matches on Fox Soccer Channel. Sheida has been here taking care of me during the past two days, and our friend Kelsey has brought us lots and lots of food. Recovery isn’t bad at all, I just sit here, relaxing and waiting for my body to get itself straight again.
I get to take my three bandages off tomorrow, and finally get to take a shower. Hopefully I feel a lot better by Sunday because I (and Sheida) have the annual Christmas caroling party to go to at my parents’ friends’ house from college. I think I’ll be well by then.

I hope everyone is having a great pre-Christmas week. I can’t lift anything more than thirty pounds until next month so I’m  just going to be taking it easy for the next couple of weeks.
