NCAA FIRST ROUND QUICK ANALYSIS
I’m pretty pleased with my bracket after the first round of play as my picks are in the 96th percentile of all brackets on ESPN.com! What an exciting two days of college basketball it was. Arguably the best opening round in NCAA history, filled with so many exciting upsets… hence why not even one person has a perfect bracket on ESPN.com’s bracket challenge.
There’s something special about seeing an underdog win in the final seconds of a game, but there’s something even more special when you’ve picked that underdog to win! My upset picks in the first round were: Northern Iowa over UNLV, Georgia Tech over Oklahoma State, Missouri over Clemson, Washington over Marquette, and Cornell over Temple.
I sit tied for first with Shade (26/32 games correct) in our ESPN.com group with my mom and dad and in another group with our best friend Jason, who’s following the tournament all the way in KOREA! (Thank goodness for online streaming.. I think he’d go insane without it). We’re all pretty close though after this crazy opening round. I’m sure there’s going to be even more excitement tomorrow and Sunday during the second round match-ups.
