No DUKE For Me :(
Well, the cards just weren’t right. My injury, more than two weeks old, has thus left me back in my dorm room tonight. We had practice today in preparation for the Blue Devils tomorrow night. However, my injury just hasn’t deemed itself “recovered from.” But the worst part is, I am not exempt from any of my classes tomorrow.. leaving me to go to my chemistry lab from 2-5.. making it a slim chance that I could make it up to Durham in time for the game. What a BUMMER! Realistically thinking, I could leave right after my lab.. be on the highway by 5:10, and make it to Duke by halftime.. then stay there for 45ish minutes for the second half and post game stuff.. then come alllll the way back. I just don’t see it happening. I really wish I could exempt my lab tomorrow. Unfortunately, this is the last lab of the semester until our lab final next week, and is supposed to be a rather long molecular modeling lab.. wonderful!
I am keeping my spirits up though, no worries. Two days until I leave for Thanksgiving break. I am so stoked! And I think my calf will be ok to run on Turkey day, but I’m just going to have to see if I can do some distance running this weekend and test it out.
And one more thing, just a little nerd note.. If you don’t know, I update/edit/design my blog on my macbook, with the Safari web browser. I recently changed a bit of the layout and now the day/date/time of my posts are at the bottom of all the post boxes. However, I was in the computer lab in the library today and just wanted to see what my blog looked like on the huge widescreen monitors that are in the lab. These computers, running Windows and Internet Explorer, DON’T show the day/date/time at the bottom of the posts! This has got me very frustrated.. I don’t know what the ratio is of mac to windows users who read my blog.. but regardless, I want my blog to be a “universal” site that looks identical on all operating systems and web browsers. Anyways, I’m taking a look into why this certain “code” that I added isn’t viewable on Internet Explorer. But, if you are using a Windows computer and have Mozilla Firefox, you should be fine.
Later!
