Flu Season

Yo! I’m laying here in bed with a balloon for a head wishing that my body could stand the change of the seasons. EVERY year, and I mean every year, I get sick about the same two times.. once at the change from Summer to Fall, and then once more at the change from Winter to Spring. I don’t know why, but my body just can’t take the change! Maybe it’s the germs here at school, maybe it’s my lack of sleep? Who knows. Anyways, just thought I’d post a little update about what has been going on over here.

After getting in my first college game against Wofford and playing the final thirty minutes, I started the next two games against UNC-W and Davidson. Life on the college field was great! However, last Sunday evening I pulled my “solace” muscle (right below my calf, above my achilles) in my right leg and since then have been unable to run and thus have not been practicing or playing. The coaches did ask me to film the NC State game and the Jacksonville game though, so I did get to travel with the team!

My athletic trainer said he wants me to rest for the weekend and then see how I feel next Monday. But on top of my new injury, I’m a little under the weather. I’ve had a cold the past couple days but this morning I woke up with lots of muscle aches and a sweat. I’m getting by though, with the help of some Sudafed, Nyquil, and lots of rest and water. Hopefully next week I’ll be revitalized.

The Georgia Bulldogs kicked off at 3:36, but unfortunately, I’m NOT ABLE TO WATCH IT here at WInthrop. For some reason they’re showing other games on ABC and ESPN2.. wow, I won’t even start in on how angry that makes me!

But it’s all good, life is great, really great! And happy 11 5th’s to my lady :) Hope everyone has a nice Labor Day weekend (Winthrop has classes on Monday, awesome right?) NOT!!

Oh and my Under Armour watch broke the other day.. so devastating. But I’ve got something in the works, don’t you worry.
