Stellarandstoked.com
I’ve decided to make a public domain name for the blog. I’ve had over 1,000 page views since September, 27th.. from 19 cities, and the previous name, “vinylbreak” derived from me breaking my foot earlier this year.. since I’m fully healed now, I didn’t really think that was a fitting name for what I want this blog to be. I feel that “Stellar and...

Well I’m off to Williamsburg, VA. I’m driving six hours to sit in thirty degree-windchill coldness tonight, wow. Thats dedication right there!!! NCAA.com has all of the games on their “gametracker” so you can check that out if you please. I’m pumped, this is gonna be a great day, if we win. Catch ya later

The Road to Wake Forest
Just some articles from different sources covering the NCAA Tournament… lately I’ve been researching everything there is to know about the tournament and all the teams in it. I’m pumped. — ESPN’s coverage— College Soccer News’ Coverage— Top Drawer Soccer Coverage The itinerary for our trip to Williamsburg was posted in the locker room yesterday...

Headed to Williamsburg, Virginia
The NCAA men’s soccer selection show aired on ESPNews tonight where we were one of the first teams announced in the bracket. Wake Forest was showcased at the beginning of the show for having won the national championship last year and getting the number one seed in this year’s tournament. The show then transitioned to the first round match up of William and Mary vs. Winthrop, where the...

NCAA Tournament Bid! After 800 Miles of Driving
What a great weekend and start to yet another week. I left for Athens around noon on Friday, putting me at UGA at four. I went to the UGA basketball game on Friday night, 15 dollars later because I’m not a UGA student, but I think it was well worth it. Some of my best friends from high school joined Sheida and I on Saturday and we had a great time. It ended way to soon though, as I had to...

Big South Tournament
Well the boys are off to Coastal Carolina for the second successive week. They leave tomorrow afternoon at one o’clock, leaving the other red shirts and I behind. Sure it’s upsetting that I don’t get to join the team at the most important event of the year, but I’m using it as a motivational tool— It makes that desire and passion for soccer come out of me, and remind...

I'M BACK, and Last Home Game
Well yesterday was  historic day for me and Winthrop soccer. I made my season practice “debut” as some of the guys called it. It was a great day. The practice before every game, we play this game “sloganned”— pregame. The team gets split into three teams picked by the coaches and two teams battle it out for 5 minutes, or the first one to score, on a mini-sized field....

Regular Season Big South Champions
The six hour round trip ride on the bus was definitely worth it tonight. Four other injured/red shirt players and I joined the fan bus tonight for a great college soccer match. When we first got there, the atmosphere was already intense. Coastal fans packed the stands and lined the fence around the field. Us guys brought some noise makers into the stadium after seeing a sign that read, “No...

Conference Championship Time
I thought I’d write a quick post before I leave to get on the bus for a three hour drive to Conway, South Carolina. I’m pretty pumped for tonight, but six hours on a bus and only an hour and a half at the field is a pretty bad ratio of the way my time is going to be spent tonight. But, if we leave as regular season champions, the drive will definitely be worth it. I’ve got a...

Election Day 2008
This is a pretty big day if you’re an American.. and I’m kind of upset that after years of seeing my self vote on this day, I didn’t get to. Although I’m 18 and of legal age, I started my voter registration a little late than expected.. causing my whole process to be postponed. In the end, my absentee ballot didn’t show up in the mail in time, but that’s ok,...

Halloween, Community Service, and Dang I'm Sore
Halloween for me this year came with lots of community service. For my psychology class, I have to do a service learning project this semester. I felt that I needed to go ahead and do my project, so I’m not rushing to do it in November. There was an opportunity to sign up for two hours at a children’s home called Safe Passage. They were having a Halloween party and needed volunteers to...
